Timmahh a écrit :after reading UEASands thread, the nieb (Neighbor) went out and bought a set of proline Maxx Paddles. he had already bought extra rims and beadlock rings a while back, and they are 1st runs. so he decided to have me Make a set of Paddles ala UAEs idea. Thanx for the Inspiration, but damn you my hands hurt from pullin on the tires over the rims..lolol
here is the process i did. I have a set im prolly going to start on tomorrow. but if there is updated rims available now, then i ll wait and put them on that.
Anyone hear about the HPI Paddles timing? soong, Santatime, Spring? just wondering.

stuff needed
getting tire around the rim. WOW. lets just say its a tad snug but goes. spray of wd40 around the rim helps out.
adjusting the fit and position
ok tires on rim, but long way from done. it was a bit of a pain, but i think worth it.
next step fitting the beadlocks on
Setting Screws in beadlocks
just about Done with the project.
once all the bolts were in place, i pulled them out one at a time and added some killer tire glue ( i ll get brand later) and glued the bottom part of each thread than ran them back in to nice and snug. i also made sure there was rubber around the whole screw area at the beadlocks. i used a pipe insulation availabe at lowes ( rubberish/foam in 6 ft lenths @ 4 bux/piece). its a bit softer than the new hpi foams, but the room for foam was slim with this Mod. all in all it turned out really quite good.
will post pics of mine when i get them done tomorrow. neib cant run. hes waiting on a new ESP Z26 and an XCan from Daves. Soon so very Soon he keeps saying
heres the finished product. will post pix of mine when i get them done.
